Haunting new images reveal the final ship where explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton died

The wreck of Quest was located in the Labrador Sea at a depth of approximately 380 meters. Shackleton died aboard the vessel in 1922 during an Antarctic expedition. The ship sank in 1962 after being crushed by pack ice. Recent underwater imaging captured the wreck's condition, showing it colonized by marine organisms and entangled in fishing nets.
