Obama-appointed judge faces fresh impeachment threat after blocking Trump TPS order for Somalis

Rep. Andy Ogles filed an impeachment resolution against Judge Allison Burroughs on February 18, 2026, accusing her of defying a Supreme Court ruling regarding Temporary Protected Status decisions. Burroughs, appointed by President Barack Obama, issued an order blocking a Trump administration action related to TPS for Somali nationals.
