Electric low-speed vehicles, or LSVs, are classified between golf carts and standard light-duty cars or trucks sold in the United States. Several companies have begun manufacturing and marketing LSVs to American consumers. LSVs typically have maximum speeds between 20 and 35 miles per hour and are permitted on certain roads depending on state and local regulations.
