Top Philippine Power Retailer to Refund $156 Million to Clients

Manila Electric Co. was ordered by the Philippine Energy Regulatory Commission to refund 9.5 billion pesos to customers for excess charges. The refund amount equals approximately $156 million at current exchange rates. The order addresses overcharges that the company applied to client bills.
