China’s Alibaba takes another swipe at America’s AI supremacy

Alibaba released an AI model called Qwen3.8-Max and stated it matched the performance of models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Moonshot AI's Kimi K3. The company made the model available to users. Alibaba did not disclose specific benchmarks or independent test results supporting the performance claims.
