NASA opens first major new wind tunnel in more than 40 years at Virginia facility

NASA opened a wind tunnel with a 20-foot diameter and 24-foot height at its Virginia facility, capable of reaching wind speeds up to 117 miles per hour. The tunnel will be used to test technology for future space missions. The facility represents the first major new wind tunnel addition at NASA in more than 40 years.
