Amanda Staveley: The UK Dealmaker With a Passion for Football Ownership

Amanda Staveley, chief executive of PCP Capital Partners, has negotiated investments connecting Middle East investors with British companies and sports clubs. She was involved in securing investment for Manchester City and Newcastle United, and in Barclays' capital raising during the 2008 financial crisis. Bloomberg reported in 2026 that a consortium led by Staveley agreed to purchase a 25 percent stake in West Ham United for 150 million pounds.
