As France’s Elders Swelter in the Heat, Postal Workers Come to the Rescue

The French government asked postal workers to check on older residents as part of a heat safety program. The initiative aims to reduce heat-related deaths among elderly people during periods of high temperatures. Postal workers were selected for this role because of their regular contact with households across the country.
