World Cup's knockout rounds collide with a massive heat wave

A heat wave brought temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit to the eastern United States during World Cup knockout matches this week. The National Weather Service issued heat advisories for multiple states where matches were being played. Match organizers did not announce schedule changes or venue relocations in response to the heat.
