Bill Maher stated on HBO's "Real Time" that gain-of-function research should not be conducted and that Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was "caught in actual lies" regarding COVID-19's origin. Fauci served as Chief Medical Adviser to President Joe Biden until 2024. The broadcast aired on Friday.
