Florida kayaker’s grisly find identified as woman missing for decades – now cops hunt her killer

A kayaker discovered a skull in a Cape Coral canal in 2024. DNA testing confirmed the remains belong to Rose Marie Gayhart, who was reported missing in 1985. Cape Coral Police said they are investigating the death as a homicide.
