Unearthed posts show Heartland Dem candidate rallying in favor of child gender surgery: 'Radical as it gets'

Denise Powell, a Democratic candidate in Nebraska, posted on Facebook and TikTok that the state's LB 574, which restricts gender-affirming medical care for minors, is "discriminatory and hateful." Powell's posts were made prior to her candidacy announcement. LB 574 prohibits puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgeries for individuals under 19 years old.
