Nurses chase Cyclospora using grocery receipts, food apps and detailed interviews

Public health nurses in Washtenaw County, Michigan were reassigned to contact hundreds of people infected with cyclosporiasis and document their recent food consumption. The nurses used grocery receipts, food delivery app records, and detailed interviews to identify common food sources. Cyclosporiasis is a parasitic infection spread through contaminated food or water.
