The S&P 500 is making a change by adding this little-known industrial stock

Ferguson Enterprises will be added to the S&P 500 index, according to the announcement. The Newport News, Virginia-based industrial company saw its stock rise more than 8% following the news. Ferguson was selected for inclusion in the index ahead of other companies under consideration.
