FBI releases eerie new age-progression renderings of accused University of Colorado student killer

The FBI released age-progression renderings showing what Thayne Alan Smika may look like in 2026, 42 years after the 1984 murder of Sidney Lee Wells in Boulder, Colorado. Smika remains at large and is considered a fugitive. The renderings were created to aid in locating him. Wells, a University of Colorado student, was killed on January 15, 1984.
