Google Earth’s AI deepfake tool only lasted one day

Google shut down a Google Earth feature on Friday, one day after launching it Thursday. The feature allowed users to edit satellite images by entering text prompts powered by artificial intelligence. Digital Digging's Henk van Ess used the tool to generate edited images, including one depicting refugees near the Mexican border.
