The major labels propose rules to keep AI slop off the charts

Universal Music Group, Sony Music, and Warner Music Group proposed rules that would make songs generated by artificial intelligence ineligible for chart rankings. The proposal extends beyond a labeling initiative from the Recording Industry Association of America and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.
