The “Father of the Internet” is finally retiring

Vinton Cerf, who co-developed TCP/IP protocols used in internet communications, will step down from his position as chief internet evangelist at Google next week. Cerf has held the role since joining Google in 2005. No replacement or future plans have been announced.
