German Authorities Knew of Pride Attacker’s Extremism

A German citizen imprisoned for attempting to join the Islamic State was released weeks before attacking a Pride event in Berlin. German authorities had documented the individual's extremist connections prior to the attack. The assailant was arrested and charged in connection with the Pride event assault.
