Tokyo Court Says Shidax Tender Undervalued the Firm in Rare Case

The Tokyo District Court ruled that Shidax Corp.'s 2023 tender offer to go private undervalued the company's shares. The ruling represents one of the few cases in Japan in which a court has resolved a financial dispute between a company and its shareholders over a privatization bid. Shidax is a hospitality sector company.
