Spain deploys military after thousands of migrants overwhelm border enclave, at least 9 dead

Spanish military units were deployed to the border enclave of Ceuta after thousands of migrants attempted to cross from Morocco on a single day. At least nine people died during the crossing attempts, according to Spanish officials. Video footage showed large groups of migrants at the Tarajal border crossing. Ceuta is a Spanish territory on the North African coast surrounded by Morocco.
