Virginia university says feds did not disclose student’s terror conviction before attack

Old Dominion University reported that federal officials did not disclose to the university that a returning student had a prior conviction for supporting ISIS before the student carried out a shooting at an ROTC facility on campus. The report did not specify which federal agencies were involved or the date when the conviction occurred. ODU stated it would have implemented additional security measures had it received notification of the student's conviction prior to the attack.
