Man impaled by a hiking pole treks 10 miles down mountain

David Cifaldi hiked approximately 10 miles down Montana's Granite Peak after a hiking pole pierced his side, according to reports. He did not request a helicopter rescue. Cifaldi reached the base of the mountain and received medical treatment for his injury.
