Bryan Kohberger was appointed a new taxpayer-funded attorney as he seeks to withdraw his guilty plea in the University of Idaho murders case. The case has cost taxpayers over $8 million. Kohberger pleaded guilty to four counts of murder in the deaths of University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin in Moscow, Idaho in November 2022.
