Zoox can now charge for rides in its steering-wheel-free robotaxis

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration granted Amazon-owned Zoox a temporary exemption on Thursday to charge for robotaxi rides in its steering-wheel-free vehicles. The exemption allows Zoox to deploy up to 2,500 vehicles annually over the next two years. The decision was announced by the NHTSA.
