ICE seeks nearly $500K fine against immigration lawyer accused of filing fake asylum claims

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is seeking a civil penalty of approximately $500,000 against attorney Suraj Raj Singh for allegedly filing 118 fraudulent documents across 54 immigration cases, according to ICE. The agency claims the documents contained nearly identical claims of persecution. Singh has not issued a public statement in response to the allegations.
