Wednesday, July 29, 2026
Google began rolling out an age verification API to Google Play app stores globally. The system allows parents to set age ranges through Google's Family Link parental controls feature. The API enables app developers to verify user age during app installation and within applications. Google announced the rollout in 2026 as part of its efforts to restrict app access based on user age classifications.
