Full school day cell phone bans are more popular than ever

A Pew Research Center survey found that 77 percent of US adults support banning cell phones in middle and high school classes, while 48 percent support banning them for the entire school day. Schools across the country have been implementing cell phone bans. The 48 percent figure represents the first time a majority threshold was reached for full-day bans in the survey's tracking.
