Elon Musk’s X settles multiyear legal battle with the World Federation of Advertisers

X and the World Federation of Advertisers settled a lawsuit filed in 2024, according to reports from January 2026. X had alleged the WFA organized a coordinated reduction in advertising spending on the platform following Elon Musk's 2023 acquisition of the social network for 44 billion dollars. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
