Wednesday, July 29, 2026
A survey by Bank of America found that 71% of Gen Z respondents reported staying home on weekends due to cost concerns, with entertainment and dining expenses cited as primary factors in their decision-making. The Bank of America 2025 Workplace Benefits Report included responses from adults ages 18-26 about their weekend spending habits and financial priorities. Young adults identified gas, cover charges, and meal costs as barriers to going out, according to the survey data.
