Apple takes Epic fight over app store fees to the Supreme Court

Tuesday, June 30, 2026

Apple has petitioned the Supreme Court to review a contempt of court finding from the Epic Games case, according to court filings. The lower court found Apple in contempt after the company failed to comply with an order to change its App Store policies. The Supreme Court has not yet decided whether to hear the case. Apple argues the contempt finding was based on an incorrect interpretation of the original ruling.
