Samuel Tunick, a Georgia resident and activist, was charged with a felony for allegedly wiping his phone during questioning by Customs and Border Protection. The charge relates to actions Tunick took while his device was being searched at an airport. CBP officials questioned Tunick and subsequently pursued the felony charge based on the allegation that he deleted data from his phone.
