A 911 dispatcher heard screaming before Sara Duffey was found dead in Owasso, Oklahoma, according to police records. Jeremiah Shawn Duffey, her husband, died at the scene. Owasso police classified the incident as a murder-suicide. Sara Duffey had publicly disclosed allegations that her husband had sexually abused a minor.
