USD/PHP: Philippines Intervened in Small Way to Defend Peso, BSP Governor Says

Philippine central bank governor Eli Remolona said the bank intervened in foreign exchange markets last week as the peso weakened to a record low. Remolona characterized the intervention as small in scale. The peso had fallen to historically low levels against the U.S. dollar.
