Title: Doctors discovered parasitic worms instead of suspected brain cancer
A man who was suspected to have brain cancer was found upon examination to have parasitic worms in his brain instead. Medical imaging initially suggested a malignant tumor, but further investigation revealed the presence of worm larvae. The parasites were identified and the patient received appropriate treatment. Parasitic infections of the brain, while uncommon in developed countries, can present similarly to tumors on imaging scans.
