Nurse impaled by pole during hike forced to trek 10 miles for help: 'A freak thing'

David Cifaldi, a wound care nurse, was impaled by a trekking pole while hiking on Montana's Granite Peak at an elevation of 11,800 feet. Cifaldi hiked 10 miles to reach help following the accident.
