Democrats approve new primary election calendar, putting South Carolina first

The Democratic National Committee approved a revised primary calendar for the 2028 presidential election with South Carolina as the first contest, followed by Nevada. New Hampshire, New Mexico, Michigan and Virginia were designated to hold early primary elections under the new schedule.
